Hypnotic's very first trip to Africa was to Lagos on special invite of the late great Tony Allen (he wanted them to see his homeland for Fela's Bday celebration)..that trip was the musical inspiration for this tune. The title "Art Comes First" is actually the name of a black-owned fashion brand and movement in Europe, HBE has worked worldwide with ACF over the past decade while sporting the Iconic fashion tailor made by Sam Lambert & Shaka Maidoh on stage. It is a homage to the spirit of black unity in business, both their fathers Nsingi Lambert and Pius Maidoh plus Hypnotic's own father Kelan Phil Cohran...and subsequently ended up being a dedication to "Uncle Tony" Allen.
